It isn't easy leaving home. 

It took me almost 13 hours to reach my home in Sehnsa from Sharda. I left the latter at 1715hrs yesterday and reached home at c. 0600hrs this morning.

Pleasantly, another delegation arrived from district Bagh last night, specifically from Sudhangali. 

Visiting the local courts, Mudhamati stream, the Chinar tree, the local police station and Sharda Perth are common places to show all my guests.

Woke at 0630hrs despite finding it difficult to sleep since going to bed at 0100hrs. I got up at 0655hrs to see off my guests from Bagh. 

It seems that Bagh is the leading district in Bagh to recognise the power of Sharda. We hope that all our other districts will follow their lead.

It is not as bright as yesterday, rain remains intermittent today. I did get to sleep by 2100hrs last night but couldn't get up before 0900hrs.

Still much work to do to stabilise the 8pm (2000hrs) to 3am (0300hrs) optimum routine.

I have now almost successfully converted my daily routine to the optimum healthy timing possible for humankind viz. sleeping between 8pm (2000hrs) and 3am (0300hrs). 

This will help me improve my efficiency by over 20% and thus directly benefit public interest in AJK.

Lack of electricity and internet facilities are rife in Sharda, let alone all the other hindrances that the occupying forces have enforced on the local population here.

It is also obvious that these occupying forces cannot stand my presence here even for a moment. 

The battle commenced on the 18th of April. It will end when there is a solid sustainable peace enforced by the people of this territory.

My first normal day in Sharda. We are effectively dealing with a system that may as well be 10,000 years old. Bringing it up to date in 2025 is a huge challenge, which we have no option but to surmount.

Completing our #EducationalWalk from #Sehnsa2Sharda which fell short by c. 15 kilometres yesterday, though we did drive to that chinar tree in Sharda to make our public address, in commemoration of our 20th anniversary of returning to our motherland.

Writing from Keran while taking refuge from the rain. 

Still hoping to reach Sharda on my 20th anniversary of returning to my motherland by 1800hrs.....

I did reach the chinar tree in Sharda before the sun went down. 

Though I still have approximately 15 kilometres to cover on foot, from the Basic Health Centre (BHU) in Chaangan to that chinar tree in Sharda.

Writing this note from Baarian, just 84 km short of a 1,500 km journey from Chamb to Sharda, spanning almost 5 years (with a lot breaks in between).

We spent the night in the heights of Danni Mai Sahiba, overlooking much of the region's hamlets.

We will try and do a distance today that we've never tried before viz. covering c. 60 kilometres on foot from Pateeka to Athmaqam. It will be a mix of walking, jogging and even sprinting.

Writing this post from Kulyan, still just over 18 kilometres from Muzaffarabad. 

Obviously in cricketing parlance, we are trying to counter a very high run-rate. 

Where overs are tantamount to days and kilometres are tantamount to runs needed. 

With just over 4 days (overs) left we still have just less than 158 kilometres (runs) to get to achieve success (reaching Sharda on the 18th of April in daylight).

NO AIRPORT IN AJK....

till the formation of a genuinely free government in the territory

I am strongly against the planning, building and operating of a 'HATTI' (to borrow a term from a disagreeable co-citizen 'sacrificing for the motherland' while living in the UK for decades) by any organ of the PAKISTANI STATE, NEVER MIND AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT! 

For a start, it will give space to #Pakistan to integrate #AJK into its own country.
