1342hrs:
Driving southwards last night, we inadvertently decided to spend the night at Dhirkot.
We're currently dealing with a very sensitive issue concerning a threat given by local DSP (Deputy Superintendent) Shafiq Mughal, to the father of a prominent local activist Ghazi Khurram Abbasi of Munnasa.
Here's an Urdu note in reference to the threat:
The following is an English translation of an online note released by Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee:
Ghazi Khurram Abbasi - Core Member
Joint Awami Action Committee - Tehsil (Subdivision) Dheerkot
DSP (Deputy Superintendent) Threatens The Father of Ghazi Khurram Abbasi (viz.) Master Abdul Latif Sahaab
The DSP (Shafiq Mughal) conveyed a message in a threatening manner to Ghazi Khurram Abbasi's father, to order his son to renounce his affiliation with the Joint Awami Action Committee and (all) issues of public interest.
Otherwise he (Latif Sahaab's son) would face a fate similar to that of Zarnosh Naseem and his condition (that of Latif Sahaab) would become that of Zarnosh's father Naseem Sahaab.
....end of English translation.
