Daily Diary (DD) - Day 90 of 2020

0014hrs:

I did wish it wouldn't happen this year and I was looking forward to a 100% record.

In daily blogging of course. Whither Day 89 of 2020?

Alas....

....

Never forget that close to 2 million reside in Gilgit Baltistan too. They have a right to identity, dignity and equality at the table too:

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 86 of 2020

1150hrs:

Within our local social circle, I've been saying over the past few days that there has never been a better opportunity to change the world into a better place than what we have at the moment.

There must be some merit in the eyes of nature, for more people to stay at home in the future and manage their economy from within.

At the very least, a refreshing of the global human operating system is in order and welcomed.

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 84 of 2020

1413hrs:

Information, knowledge, wisdom and technique/intellect are all a trust that every individual accumulates in some degree during the course of their life; to share, bequeath and pass on to the rest of humanity.

The following video was made in 2015 but it confirmed the flaws in democracy that I have been working hard to avoid, since beginning to plan the architecture of an internal political process in AJK since 2007:

.....

The following translates as:

Ye jo puri dunya me waba hay

This pandemic that the whole world (finds itself in)

Kya ye Kashmiryo ki bad dua hay?

Is it (the result) of a Kashmiri curse?

Further context:

A 7 month lockdown in the Valley of Kashmir (since the 5th of August 2019) is presumed to have instigated a global lockdown as punishment by the almighty for the world's apathy towards the plight of Kashmiris.

......

I remember the following place from my youth....such a crowded place it used to be:

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 83 of 2020

1927hrs:

An impending lockdown for a month in AJK has at least reminded us that we are - after all - part of a rapidly shrinking world.

We may not have access to most of the positive aspects of globalisation but we are deeply mired in its negative outfall.

Over the past few weeks I have tried my best to avoid the subject of Corona or it's technical term Covid-19, hoping that it wouldn't become the pandemic that it has.

Once we get over this, I look forward to returning to the subject of globalisation and its impact on this territory that has been hidden behind the heavy curtains of Indian and Pakistani nationalism, by the outgoing British empire in and since 1947.

.....

This is of course an indication of how precious Sharda is to our Hindu brethren across the LOC but it is also a confirmation of why it shouldn't become the symbol of an ownership tussle between India and Pakistan:

The solution? A genuine internal J & K political process!

Now that I've maintained a 100% record thus far for daily blog entries, can I maintain it till the end of 2020?

I think the immediate target should be to reach 100 days with a 100% record. That would be an achievement in my book.

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 67 of 2020

2136hrs:

Anchoring in Dheerkot tonight while noting local culture and hospitality........very cold, almost persistent rain since we entered the Poonch belt en route to Muzaffarabad on Wednesday the 4th of March, 4 days ago.

Observing an 80 year old researcher and political activist over the past 4 days, leaves me in wonder at his determination and ability to negotiate travel in such weather, when landslides are most likely while trying to cover a good portion of AJK, in the space of 5 days.
