Another false start as the wheel spins faster and faster with each passing hour. There has been another death in the family. This time a male following 2 females (in the past week). An uncle in his late 60's at best and who - from our childhood - we always fondly referred to as 'Uncle Johnny', formally referred to as Jahandad Khan of Baderi, near Choch in Sehnsa.

1206hrs:

Reached home (in Sehnsa) at about 0500hrs this morning, after a day's trip out to Rawalakot, to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of what gradually emerged as the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). 

A central secretariat (for the territory of AJK) was established a few steps away from the spot in Supply Bazaar yesterday, where this public rights movement began 3 years ago.

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 97 of 2026

I did try at some point this morning to sleep but it was - yet again - not to be. I will re-try an experiment that I have tried before and usually failed viz. get through the day without falling asleep at any point, till the optimum time of sleeping at 2000hrs sharp. Can I break even this evening? I will ask myself repeatedly throughout the day today.

Meanwhile, I'm back in my hamlet in Sehnsa, as I returned from Mirpur yesterday evening.

I wonder if #UKMPs members in #UKParliament of #AJK (or even #JKA origin) - who may amount to just over a dozen - and if you include former MPs plus those who came second in the most recent #ElectionUK2024 you may get closer to 2 dozen.......may be bold enough to publicly discuss the subjects of #Peace & #Democracy in our territory; where under the peaceful, ethical, democratic & legal mass public mobilisation strategy of #JAAC #JammuKashmir #JointAwamiActionCommittee over a dozen of our peaceful protestors and local #AJKPolice who tried to maintain peaceful movement from South #Bhimber to North #Muzaffarabad in #May2024 and #SepOct2025 were targeted and gunned down in calculated cold blood. 

These UK MPs of AJK origin, who live and work in the oldest running parliament in the world would do well to convince us how we - 90% of the population based on consistent on-the-ground independent action-oriented public policy research over 2 decades - can endure another election using a democratic façade while being organised, monitored, manipulated and executed by a clandestine organisation, which has no such bona fides in the territory.

 

UK MPs would also do well to revisit their parliament's record of #18Jul1947 with respect to the Indian Independence Act and follow the constitutional journey from there to this day, with particular reference to the State of #Jammu & #Kashmir . 

There will be #ElectionAJK2027 , though after ensuring that an #InternalPublicContractAJK is completed - to reflect and confirm that - 90% of the aspiring citizens of this territory want their own genuinely #FreeGovtAJK , as formalised by the late Barrister Hamid Bashani of #Banjosa in #Poonch , in the very early days of #Feb2023 viz.

Question (to the aspiring citizens of AJK):

Do you want such a government in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)..that unconditionally maintains all legislative and decision-making powers in relation to all the financial, administrative, political, social and security matters of the territory?

After all, we cannot negotiate with our neighbours #Afghanistan #China #India #Pakistan or the rest of the world for that matter, until we negotiate between ourselves internally and come to a common agreement on how we interact with the rest of #JKA for a start and the rest of the world - including all our neighbours - in consequence.

The public of Jammu Kashmir should make a clear announcement. 

It should give this message to the whole world. 

That the State of Jammu Kashmir is a free country. 

Paramountcy is owned by the public of Jammu Kashmir. 

The public of Jammu Kashmir are not part of any agreement. 

Neither have they made a commitment with anyone. 

They are not a part of India, neither are they a part of Pakistan.

Indeed they are a separate country.

This is confirmed by Pakistan's constitution in 1956, in 1962 too and in 1973 it is mentioned too..

In which article 257 assures that the State of Jammu Kashmir is not a part of India, neither is it a part of Pakistan. 

Indeed that it has a separate, free and independent existence.

On whose behalf the public of Jammu Kashmir will decide.

So, in these circumstances we have to make an announcement:

That the public of the State of Jammu Kashmir are not bound by any agreement; they are not bound by the Indus Basin Treaty, they are not bound by the Simla Accord and neither are they bound in any other agreement.  

Further that they do not give any State...or any Power the right to choose (on their behalf), India can not make any such decision and neither can Pakistan.

In fact the public of Jammu Kashmir themselves want to keep their country free and freedom itself is their mission

They will also not accept any partition/division (of their land) and neither will they accept any other decision...

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 92 of 2026

1035hrs:

No false start today is a relief, despite being a very late start. Yesterday's all-nighter continued till about 1100hrs yesterday morning, before I obtained about 5 hours sleep. The rest of the afternoon & evening didn't prove so efficient and I worked hard to sleep after 2100hrs. I had to keep my eyes closed for hours on end before falling into deep sleep way beyond midnight last night, which helped me recharge till c. 0900hrs this morning (a clear 6 hours later than my aspired for routine viz. 0300hrs).

At least I can now look ahead to the rest of the day in a refreshed manner and plan better for the days ahead.

In our daily Public Finance Update section, we are gradually introducing real time transparency to our charitable (social welfare) arm of JKA PUBLIC AGENCY. Relatively modest amounts have been sent to us intermittently in the past but now that the amounts have increased, they are likely to be a constant feature of our governance delivery model, starting from the 102 (administrative) villages of Sehnsa, Sarsaawa & Panjera.

This is certainly the earliest daily blog of this year and there is 'reason' for it. I've been trying to sleep since just beyond 2200hrs last night, without success of course. 

I found myself too restless and too tuned to the future to remain lying in bed in the dark, doing my utmost to not think about anything and just drift away to that other realm, where my human batteries would be sufficiently recharged to enjoy a full day of work in Sehnsa, later today.

Except that the whole day was spent at home and not in Sehnsa, as originally planned.

A very late entry today but with reasonably good reason. It took me to beyond 0200hrs this morning to get to sleep and I missed out on Sehri, waking up around midday. It was then too late for me to log this entry, given that I had to shower and also get to Sehnsa by 1300hrs, by hiking a lift too!

It was all too much and I eventually joined the anti-war procession in Sehnsa at about 1320hrs. A lot to address, even at his mature stage of this 'Subject to Citizen' journey.

This morning I managed to wake up at 0800hrs, slightly better than the average waking up time (viz. 0900hrs) achieved over the past week. There's still a wide gap of 5 hours and I better get better at this.

We had our first meeting with the baldiya (municipality) of Sehnsa today, as part of discussions towards framing a model contract between the public of Sehnsa & the local municipality. Details will be logged here in due course.

We also had our first meeting with a male representative of the 'Changar' epidemic harming the social fabric of AJK. We have given them a deadline of Friday the 6th of February, to finalise details of their absolute departure from the territory of AJK.

1054hrs:

I should be resuming business as normal from today back in Sehnsa, although there will be some crucial differences compared to how I spent my days at Maqbool Bhat Martyr's Square in Dadyaal. 

Intended schedule (from 3rd January 2026 to 31st March 2026:

0300hrs - Wake up and get up - address pending research concerns

0700hrs - Daily walk on relatively empty stomach (while also inspecting agricultural & horticultural opportunities) 

0900hrs - Breakfast

1100hrs - Gym workout

1230hrs - shower followed by light meal 

1300hrs - Engaging with public while continuing to address pending research concerns

1800hrs - Evening meal followed by winding down and preparing to sleep on time

2000hrs - Sleep

While spending 75 days in Maqbool Bhat Martyr's Square Dadyaal, I had the added responsibilities of creating a 4 minute video podcast in Urdu for Facebook at around 1700hrs, followed by a 2 minute video podcast in English for Instagram, a 2 hour Space on X (formerly Twitter) between 1800hrs & 2000hrs (which ran for 1,200 daily episodes from 13 September 2022 to 31 December 2025 - missing only 6 days during this whole period of 1,206 days - that too primarily because of absence of connectivity) and ending each day with a 4 minute video podcast in Pahaari for Facebook, just before going to sleep.

I have taken a deliberate break from social media for these 3 months, in order for our people to digest and go through what has been discussed with them over the past 3 months.

Today I woke at c. 0730hrs again this morning and yes, I did try and sleep at 2000hrs yesterday evening....eventually succeeding just beyond 2100hrs.

This was far short of the 40 crores we have targeted to upscale our public interest activities and upon insistence by some of our regular funders, we have extended our 2025 ultimatum to the 31st of March this year.

Of course, we will continue providing you details of our daily financial activity in the interim and also attempt to backdate all our previous financial activity since we began public funding in 2012.

1140hrs:

Countdown to end of 2025: 1 day

So, the Achilles heel in my 20 year struggle and the past year in particular has been my inability to consistently sleep by 2000hrs and get up by 0300hrs. On the few occasions that I did get up at that time, I couldn't generate consistency and thus I must make serious efforts to address this weakness and make amends to the public cause. The next 3 months will remain devoted to public interest, although I will be operating from home in Sehnsa.

True to form, I didn't sleep until 2300hrs and got up just before 0700hrs this morning. A 3 to 4 hour gap or deficiency in my sleeping pattern endures even on the last day of the year.

Their role in politics is far superior to that of any shrewd masculine politicians that the world could ever produce, for the simple reason that women possess a far more balanced mental capability, which is her greatest gift provided by nature.

Ladies are empowered by nature itself and seldom need any validation from anyone, least from those she gives birth to, be it a man or an idea.

Daughter nothing is impossible for a women to achieve.
