Daily Diary (DD) - Day 73 of 2026

0304hrs:

Yes, you've guessed it. Another false start!

The following words were generated immediately after watching this video, earlier not too far into today:

You all need to reference this, as an important confirmation of the #Conflict2PeaceStrategyJKA
adopted by JKA PUBLIC AGENCY - even in retrospect - since at least 2009.

I - Tanveer Ahmed - have only watched this short video, just beyond midnight on Sat 14 March 2026 but have been a long time student (from afar) of the life of Lee Kuan Yew, perhaps the most impactful man of the 20th Century.

He had ideas, intellect and action all in one.

We in #JKA can learn more from him than any other human of the 20th Century, I think.

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 314 of 2022

1111hrs:

Day 158 at Maqbool Bhat Shaheed Square - Dadyaal.

0757hrs

My punctuality deficit has decreased to 5 minutes.

Punctuality percentage: 95 days on time or early of 158 = 60% punctual.

....

Before I die I hope my people will understand what I'm trying to do here in JKA. Over the past century if there was one person who I would consider to be the most notable influence on me and my work, it would be Lee Kuan Yew, the architect of Singapore's phenomenal rise from being one of the most prominent vice capitals of Asia to one of the most dynamic economies in the world. Punching far above its weight and knowing how to balance the interests and influences of the largest powers in the world, there is perhaps no better resource than Singapore to make our people understand that anything is possible.

I am borrowing the following comment from one of numerous videos made on the governance icon of the century, fondly referred to as LKY:

"LKY is maybe the most cool-minded leader of the world in the last century who, after distilling the best from both Confucism (Confucianism) in the East and Liberalism from the West, firmly believes that good governance is more important than anything else to build and run a successful nation.  And history proves that he is right."

My punctuality deficit has decreased to 22 minutes. Hopefully I'm back on track once again.

Punctuality percentage: 62 days on time or early of 110 = 56% punctual.

Day 11 of our daily evening virtual engagement with the public brings us our second review already:

Case Study: The Story of Singapore

While we in AJK grapple with the best strategy to bring much needed change in our society, we can seek inspiration from elsewhere:

What has become clear so far (in 11 episodes from listeners and participants) is that:

Do we try and get the existing system to deliver with all its structural defects or do we create an alternative grassroots democratic framework for change?

Our people are undecided and unsure. In fact, they will veer towards the former for safety at this stage.

Space Count (That is: How many people have engaged so far): 55 (updated at 1813hrs on 24/09/2022)

Average space count (11 days so far): 91

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 78 of 2022

0956hrs:

A lot of wind, rain and thunder in the early hours of today, followed by a new calm when the sun came out.

....

Let us provide an introduction to Public Policy from one of the most proactive practitioners in the world:

....

AJK PUBLIC AGENCY NOTE 2034 - 19032022

Self determination is our present, not our future.

If we cannot think and act in real time, we will fail.

We will also fail if we keep on shouting at the wrong people.

It took us almost 16 years to find the shortest and clearest route. The 'pushtani baashindey' (State Subjects) must give way to each other and stop fearing the change they've been shouting for, for the past 75 years.

There was a great need and demand to speak in the following programme but internet issues created havoc. Mainly because many of my relations have come from the UK and thus a surge of internet activity was to blame:

The programme can also be watched on YouTube:

The following are 2 pieces of CCTV footage from Bury Park Luton UK where AJK PUBLIC AGENCY posters were in public, as with Shaheed Chowk (Martyr's Square) in Kotli until 10 March 2022.

It is important to identify the culprit and more importantly why he did what he did. I need the assistance of our public in Luton...This incident happened on today's date (Sat. 19/03/2022):

Day 40 at Martyr's Square Kotli

....

Today's wisdom comes from Singapore of yesteryear:

Translation:

When you witness thieves becoming rulers in any city
There can be 2 reasons attributed to (this phenomenon)
Either that country's system is corrupt or the public (of that country)
Are unaware

Lee Kuan Yew (Statesman and founding father of Singapore)

The Kashmiri Pandits can never be ignored in any present or future discussion on JKA:

....

There had to be an update on JKTV too:

....

I realise that today - Day 40 at Shaheed Chowk - is auspicious on more than one front. The following message in Urdu reminded me:

Translation:

May Allah bless us all with health and strength on account of Shab e Miraj (literally translates to the Night of Ascent. It refers to the incident of Isra and Mairaj when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was taken to the heavens and brought back overnight during his lifetime). May Allah bless us with success in this life and the hereafter. Ameen.

End of translation....

It was truly heartening to see and hear my comrades Baba Jaan of Hunza in Gilgit Baltistan, Imran Shan and Ilyas Khalid (both) of Dathote in Union Council Paachot in Rawalakot voice their solidarity for my 'Public Policy Workshop' at Shaheed Chowk Kotli:

Here's a thoughtful write-up by a young public rights activist in Hajeera:

Social contract and Awami Action Committee

Sardar Mohsin Mumtaz

There are countless taxes - including fuel adjustment - which you might see on your utility bills. On the other hand there is a tax on the purchase and sale of mobile phones, property taxes and hundreds of such other taxes which we directly pay to the State.

The question is, what does the State give in return?

We have to directly purchase everything from education to health facilities, including even a sachet of Disprin, with our own money. Justice is expensive too, which for the most part is out of the reach of the common people of the State. A respectable citizen is frightened even to walk passed the police station.

Then where are our taxes utilised?

There are 53 MLAs (local members of the legislative assembly, 6 lent officers from Pakistan, 3 DIGs (Deputy Inspector Generals) and 3 Commissioners in 3 divisions of AJK, 10 Deputy Commissioners in 10 districts of AJK, 32 Assistant Commissioners in 32 subdivisions of AJK, up to 150,000 government employees in total. There is more yet. 'We' also have a battalion of ministers. All the aforementioned are enjoying their status on taxes raised from our masses.

They have all failed thus far to work for the welfare of c. 5 million people of our State, of which possibly as much as 2 million are in the diaspora world-wide, many of whom regularly send much needed foreign exchange in the shape of remittances, which aid the Pakistani State to keep their country economically afloat.

There is a burgeoning question mark on the existence of this battalion of 'public' servants.

Do you fear to raise questions about your rights?

Are you not raising your voices because you think you will be murdered?

Then listen my dear co citizens!

Graveyards are full of people who were afraid of death.

This paradise on earth has been converted into a hell for our people, by the oppressors and their facilitators.

Raise your voices against them, write against them, come out onto the roads and play your due role.

All political parties - in subdivision Hajira of Poonch district - have established by consensus Awami Action Committee against the brutalities, exploitation, looting and plundering of the resources of AJK.

I urge the people of AJK to establish identical forums in their respective subdivisions too, to counter the lawlessness prevailing in AJK.

End of write-up....
