Daily Diary (DD) - Day 85 of 2026

1702hrs:

Yesterday was the perfect day to get to sleep at 2000hrs, as I arrived back home in Gurutta at c. 1900hrs. An opportunity I totally wasted. I didn't get to sleep till about 0900hrs this morning and got up at c. 1600hrs. 

This has put the trajectory of my daily routine (2000hrs to 0300hrs) in a spin. I hope nature forgives me and allows me to redeem myself.

Daily Diary (DD) - Day 218 of 2024

1438hrs:

Today is effectively Day 10 of our educational walk from Sehnsa to Sharda. It took 6 days to get from my home village of Gurutta to Kotli city. Now, after 4 days here I am keen to move on towards Tattapani, which I envisage will take about 3 days to get to.

Again - like on Day 6 - I will walk in the evening after 5pm and try to get to Reyan Sharif by 7 or 8pm at the latest.

1140hrs:

It has been another all-nighter as I strive to ensure no more hours & minutes are wasted or rather ill-utilised. I remain conscious that an optimum amount of quality sleep is essential for maximum productivity in any given 24 hour cycle.

It is also the last day of the month and I am striving to ensure that you not only have this month's financial statement but those of February & January too, for comparison. I will then continue to keep on publishing previous statements that are available in my documentation gathered over the years, going back eventually to about July 2009, when I began dedicated work on the ground in AJK.

Ultimately, sleep did catch up with me at c. 1300hrs and I got 4 hours rest until 1700hrs.

It has been a while since my vehicle last broke down. Did it have to happen or could it have been avoided? It will become clearer tomorrow.

It is clear from AJK Minister Mushtaq Minhas's response that all responsibility for what happened in Muzaffarabad on the 22nd was the doing of Pakistan's agencies. He euphemistically described them as 'idaarey':
